Sports cars are made to be driven in the public highway and not in a sports car racing. Sports cars can be very luxurious and that is why people seem to identify them with wealth and high status.
Sports cars have two doors and usually two seats. Sometimes, they may have back seats, but they tend to be so small and are only used for small children or to put small stuff. . Some sports cars have a retractable roof that makes them into a convertible sports car. There can be some automobiles with the characteristics of a sport car, but they're not exactly sport cars. Such cars are a sports version of other bodyworks like Sedans or Hatchbacks.
