Sedans are a very popular kind of car in all over the world; people seem to prefer them over other cars that have different type of bodywork. When Sedans appeared at first, they were characterized for having a three box structure with the trunk separated from the cabin. Since their first appearance, they became popular for supposedly having a higher aerodynamic capacity; later it was confirmed that this was not true.
There are many types of Sedans. There is the Notchback sedan, the Fastback sedan, the Two-door sedan (very similar to some coupes), the Hardtop sedan, the Hatchback sedan (a sedan version of the hatchback for places were hatchbacks were not so popular), and the Chauffeured sedan, best known as the limousine sedan.
