Moving out to another country and bringing a car can be a little challenging at first because the documentation process is quite long and annoying. Generally, the estimate time in shipping your vehicle to another country takes about two to three weeks. Once your motor vehicle property is in a foreign country, the owner has to register the car. However, the person has to face the important documentation process before to book a flight ticket and hire a shipping company to bring his/her car properly.
  • Visit the embassy of the country that you want to travel and get some information about the import duties that you should pay for your car.
  • Call the transportation company and ask for a car specialist to find a good and affordable option to import your vehicle.
  • Once you car or vehicle is in the country that you want to move in, you need to show your driver's license, registration details and passport in order to prove that this car is your property. After that, the owner has to wait six months to drive the car; during these six months the owner has to process several documentations that are required from drivers. E.g. valid car insurance, number plates, re-registering forms and other documents that prove that the car is completely roadworthy.
